Job Title: Grounds and Building Maintenance
Location: Brawley, CA
Pay: $17.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8am to 5pm
Requirements: Must successfully pass background check and have a valid CA DL
Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented individual to maintain the grounds and provide building support for a Brawley job site. This role requires a skill set of traditional landscaping and basic facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, a professional demeanor when interacting with others, and the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Experience:
A minimum 1 year working with vendors, work orders, and building maintenance doing light plumbing, painting and building repairs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Grounds Maintenance:

- Perform routine mowing (lawn mower/tractor), edge trimming (weed eater), and lawn watering to ensure a healthy appearance.
- Safely trim trees and hedges using chainsaws and hedge trimmers
- Clear debris daily from lawns, walkways, and trash enclosures using leaf blowers, rakes, and push brooms.

Building & Facility Maintenance:

- Perform repairs including patching drywall, basic carpentry, masonry touch-ups, and painting to maintain a professional site appearance
- Conduct minor plumbing (unclogging drains, repairing leaks) and basic electrical tasks (replacing light bulbs, fixtures, or switches).
- Execute regular walkthroughs to identify hazards; check HVAC filters, test emergency lighting, and ensure fire extinguishers are pressurized and accessible.
- Ensure trash enclosures are sanitized and building perimeters are free of cobwebs, dust, and litter.
Requirements & Qualifications:

- Proven work history in both groundskeeping and building facilities maintenance.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License (CA DL) with a clean driving record.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong sense of accountability
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs, and work outdoors
- Strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye and hearing protection
